The Charles Faxon house, one of the first to be built (1811) in the village, is of log construction. There was little change to the structure except for dormer windows and wooden siding until 1980 when the property was sold for commercial use and an addition to the rear was built. The original room arrangement, windows, and random width floorboards have been preserved.
