Volunteering at the Boal Mansion Museum

Donating to the Columbus Chapel and Boal Mansion Museum

The Columbus Chapel and Boal Mansion Museum is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit corporation whose mission is historic preservation, heritage education and community service. The organization runs the museum operation at the Boal Estate. Donations are tax-deductible and help accomplish this mission.

The Museum is still recovering from “Hurricane Rewiring,” the improvement project which blew a $50,000 hole in the museum budget but provided safe wiring and good lighting for the Boal Mansion Museum building.

Another group that supports the mission is the Centre County Columbus Celebration. This is a 501 (c) 3 public charity with a community board whose members donate a minimum of $500 per year (by Columbus Day) and then allocate the money to a purpose of their choosing.
